Wow, yesterday was simply the best day, from a dog perspective. Of the eleven dogs in the country seven of them were there. There were four boys and three girls and then another girl that’s an Australian Shepherd. We all played together and then did agility and I’m proud to say that I was doing rather well on the agility course. I quite surprised my Mistress by getting the hang of what I had to jump over and what I had to wiggle my way round. Shadow was pretty fed up as her paw was still suffering and she had to have the collar on for much of the day. It’s a bit difficult to go through an agility tunnel with a massive collar on your head.
I am proud to say that no one really misbehaved and what with a sunny day as well, it was all quite a success. What’s even better is that there is a Great Swiss fun day for Halloween and we’re invited. I’ve asked my Mistress ever so nicely and she says that I can go.
At least it wasn’t as windy as Saturday and there were no power cuts. I’m not sure if I told you that we lost power for a couple of hours on Saturday afternoon. It was all very strange really as it makes you realise just how much you depend on all things electric, particularly in a village like this that doesn’t even have gas. We were all set to sit round by candlelight in the evening but the power came back mid afternoon and solved the problem. It’s times like this that you appreciate having cold food straight out of a dog food sack and not ingredients that need to be cooked.
