Just as you start to think you can put your winter coat away, or in my case, shed it all over the carpet, then it turns cold again and you have to go round picking it up and trying to get it to stick back on. I did overdo it a bit, running around in the sunshine, so I’m thinking of a couple of days of hibernation under the duvet until it warms up again. I need to conserve all the energy I can, I’ve been threatened with dog training on Monday night. I don’t know whether it’s better or worse that the training is in sight of our house. On the one paw I will be able to point out to the other dogs where I live and I am rather proud of it, but on the other paw, it is going to be tough being able to see the house in which there is a duvet calling my name and instead have to stand in a field doing as I’m told. My Mistress had a bit of a discussion about a ‘dog training’ book that’s she’s got. It has a section on problems with your dog. There is a bit listing ‘Why does my dog do as he is told in class but not at home?’ She tried looking for the section ‘Why does my dog do as he’s told at home but not in class?’ but there didn’t seem to be one. I said to her that it’s good to be different. She’s just grateful that I don’t wear sports kit, riding kit and all the other paraphernalia of a twelve year old. My poor Mistress says she never wants to see another load of washing in her life and that was before James announced that his cricket kit had got dirty. When he did say it needed to be put in bleach, he was a bit put out when my Mistress told him that in that case he would need to buy some next time he was in the supermarket.
