You may spot one or two recurrent themes in my writing. The boiler has stopped working. Once again, we are without heating and hot water. I can only think that in some way my Mistress is jinxed. She’s has tried to suggest it might be me but when do I adjust the boiler controls? She has once again decamped to the other house, where she has heating but no furniture. To be honest, it isn’t a dreadfully difficult decision. She has a sore throat and slight chest infection, she doesn’t really want to sit in a cold house too.
Our first thought was that we may have overlooked the purchase of the all essential fuel oil. When you have been used to mains gas you don’t automatically think to check the level of the oil regularly. As it turns out it isn’t as simple as that and we do have oil, but the boiler doesn’t seem to want to do anything with it. I suggested we could just go back to bed, but my Mistress said she’d got too much to do for that. Don’t say I didn’t try to help. I saw an opportunity. It’s not my fault that she doesn’t want to take it.
James now seems to be riding a horse at the stables that is called Harry Potter. If he enters any competitions that involve jumping, do you think there is any risk they might disqualify him for cheating by being able to use the Wingardium Leviosa spell to get over the jumps without knocking any poles off? He might be able to use him to play Quidditch, which would be rather cool. I suppose he’d need to find other people with equally gifted horses or broomsticks to make up the rest of the team.
