Oh dear. No more bones for me. It wasn’t that I didn’t enjoy it. I did, I really did. Sadly, my mistress didn’t enjoy getting up with me in the night when I was being sick. I woke her at 5.15 and asked her to take me out, but she was really tired and sent me back to bed. She really did give me no alternative but to be sick on the bedroom floor. So she got up and cleared up after me. She even said sorry for not having taken any notice of my plea to go out. I went back to bed but then immediately felt a bit queasy so got her up and asked to be taken outside. 5.30 on a freezing cold morning! Did she really think I wanted to be outside either? I was ok, so I had a pee and went back to bed. Then I felt queasy again, so we went outside and I was sick. Then we went back to bed. Then at 6.20 I was sick on the bedroom floor again. After that she decided she would get up with me and we would go downstairs where it was easier to clean up. True to form, I felt all right then and asked for breakfast. My mistress said I wasn’t having anything to eat for a couple of hours, how harsh is that? I of course, was able to go back to bed and sleep for the rest of the day. My mistress, on the other hand, had to get up and do her chores. The worst part is I will no longer be given either bones or gravy. It was tempting to say to her that it was definitely the gravy to make sure I still got bones, but I don’t know if she would have been convinced.
