I felt a bit like one of the children going to school and being excused from ‘Games’ yesterday. ‘Please Miss, may Alfie be excused from swimming today as he has an ulcer on his eye and doesn’t want to get water in it.’ I went along and watched Ari swimming instead. I had a nice walk and had a biscuit after his swim without having to do any work for it. I’ve lost a little more weight too. I didn’t mean to. It just seems to be going. I’m 29.15kg now, so that’s .15kg lighter than two weeks ago. My Mistress says she’s going to weigh me each time just to monitor progress. The test results finally came back saying that my heart is fine, which is good news, but I now have to have another test to check my kidneys and some other things. I’ve been a bit brighter most of the last few days and at the moment every time I do ask to go out with my Mistress she tends to say yes, which is really nice. Sometimes I just go along in the car for the ride and other times we have a walk as well. I’m at the vet on Monday for them to check my eye so they are going to take more blood to send off then. I am not looking forward to it.
The most exciting thing that is happening this weekend is my Mistress’s second attempt at turning her hair black. The packet only has instructions in a range of Eastern European languages, which is worrying her slightly. There is a leaflet included in English but it has made her wonder why the particular product is not on sale in the UK. She’s got as far as doing the skin allergy test, which has turned out ok, now she just needs to put the dye on her hair… anything could happen!

I hope your eye heels quickly, and your tests are fine, Alfie!
On another note, wouldn’t it be better if your mistress just wore a black wig for the panto? Trust me, in another life I was a hairdresser, and to get black dye out of hair is difficult, let alone if one is a redhead! Ask her …
I think you should have told her that yesterday – you’ll find out what happened tomorrow! Thank you for the concern on my health.
love
Alfie
