I did wear her down on the heating front in the end, which was quite a relief. Then yesterday I had to go swimming so that warmed me up a bit anyway. I didn’t feel like it, but I think it did me good. My Mistress got fed up with working in the afternoon, so whilst I finished the first draft of my manifesto, she was busy designing an ‘I am NOT a Beagle’ sweatshirt.
It’s the question we get asked most often ‘are you a Beagle?’ It was even asked of Shadow by a man standing there holding the lead of his own Beagle. Had he had a white stick in the other hand I could have understood the comment, but he didn’t he simply couldn’t tell the difference between his dog and us. I do wonder if he’d set out that morning walking a Yorkie and was taking the wrong dog home from the dog park because he couldn’t tell the difference. Anyway, I’m just pleased that I am not being asked to wear the sweatshirt, although it would keep me warm.
As I said, I have finished the first draft of my manifesto and handed it over to my Master and Mistress for comment. I’m not really sure that I am interested in what humans have to say on the subject, but Ari’s reading isn’t coming on very well so it was either that or find some better educated dogs to take a look. I need to start thinking about the illustrations and which sections they will be included for. I really should email my Mistress’s friend who is going to do them soon as otherwise I will be too late. I had suggested a headshot of me on the cover, but my Mistress said that would be less effective than a suitable cartoon type sketch. It’s her loss.
