It’s August and we’re cold. I need someone to turn the heating on. Now, I don’t mind if it’s God doing it but taking some of the cloud away, or whether my Mistress either lights a fire or turns the central heating on, but one way or another I would like the temperature to go up. My Mistress says that as it’s August it really isn’t her responsibility and the weather should be warm enough. I suspect she’d say that if we were living at the North Pole. In her book heating cannot go on until at least the middle of September, which is all very well as long as she doesn’t mind finding me tucked up with D’Artagnan under the duvet cover.
My Mistress says that at the moment she could do with being able to work on stuff for us dogs full time and not have a job to get in the way. We do what we can. We did a meet and greet yesterday but it always needs our Mistress to help. She says at the moment everyone wants to know about us. I’m sure ‘everyone’ is an exaggeration, but she does seem to have a lot of enquiries to answer. She booked for Shadow to have her up to date eye test yesterday so that she can be ready for mating for her final litter. Ari was not impressed when he heard her saying that he was going to have his tested as well. He immediately pointed out that he didn’t need glasses as he can read the cards she has made with instructions like ‘Sit’ and ‘Stay’ it’s just that he chooses to ignore them most of the time. He won’t be getting out of it, as it is not that sort of test and my Mistress says because one of his sister’s has got cataracts she wants to be sure it is not wider spread.
