Monday 19th May 2014 – Double decker dogs

IMG_1292I couldn’t help but like this picture of Shadow and Ari yesterday. They had decided they were too warm to cuddle up together so lay with one on the settee and the other underneath. Ari got the comfortable spot!

Earlier in the day we had a moment of excitement when a bird flew in through the back door. Usually it is a pigeon and they are pretty stupid birds and relatively easy to catch, usually after stunning themselves on something. This however was a swallow. It was amazing watching it doing its acrobatics into the vaulted ceiling of the office. Fortunately Shadow was in the other room so Ari and I could watch it without anyone trying to chase it. We just sat perfectly still while our Mistress was trying to work out how to help it find the way out. At one point she got really quite close to it and the back was the most amazing iridescent blue. In the end she had opened the windows at the end of the office and when she encouraged it out of the utility it dipped under the doorway and then flew in a straight line out of the office. There seem to be a number of them around our roof so they may be nesting somewhere.

I am told with all the exercise I’m getting that I’m actually looking younger. Unbelievably even the grey hair seems to have reduced and been replaced with hair of the proper colours. It has a way to go before I get rid of all the grey but it’s a start. I had started to wonder if I should be using one of these hair restorative products, but it seems that exercise can work almost as well and makes you feel good too. I may be 8 ½ but I can still give the youngsters a run for their money.
