Herding deer – Friday 2nd December 2022
Wilma is keen to try herding deer. At least she had that urge yesterday. Mum can be such a spoilsport at times.

Today is all about animals. Wilma has stories about the sheep, but there’s also a new arrival that she hasn’t seen before.
The Pipistrelle Bats have moved out. Ari is showing off his marrows and Shadow has collapsed again. Wilma reports.
Wilma spent the day in the garden yesterday. She had a lovely time. It was a good chance for Ari to recover from the heat.
The house is very quiet without Dad around – but not because Dad makes a lot of noise.
We’re all feeling glum as Dad will be away for a couple of weeks. Shadow is inconsolable to lose her human for even five minutes.
I realised yesterday how much I miss ice cream. It has been ages – years – since I’ve had one. Wilma wants to put that right.
The bird food has become a self service buffet – Wilma wants to know which of the wildlife is to blame. Could it be squirrel again?
When it comes to the age old classic of dog versus squirrel, things really are a little different in this household.
Gardening seems to involve a lot of guesswork and Wilma isn’t sure that Aristotle’s guesses are always quite right.
