A happy valentine’s day to all you lovely girl dogs out there. I’ve realised from looking at our family trees, that I probably don’t need to be too specific as to who I wish happy valentines day too and in the dog world having multiple girlfriends seems to be encouraged rather than frowned upon. To be fair, I don’t really think I’m like that. There’s only one girl dog I curl up with regularly and that’s Megan. I do let Shadow clean my ears and to be fair I did try to mount her last season, but it is always Megan I curl up with. I would try to make my Mistress my valentine but I think she’s already spoken for.
I’m not sure whether it is worth getting a little bit excited yet. In June there is a weekend meeting for my little car. Inevitably as it has two seats, only two can go, unless we take two cars. It is supposed to be the weekend that the children are with us, so there would be four humans and three dogs. I overheard a conversation yesterday in which my Mistress was suggestion that she could go and take one dog. To be fair she did say she wasn’t sure which she would take, me or Megan, but it is my car. There was some talk about Megan fitting better on the seat, but I don’t mind lying across the handbrake. It seems to depend partly on whether the hotel will allow dogs to stay, but my Mistress seems to think it says it does. Oh I do hope it’s me that goes.
I am delighted to tell you that the number of friends I have on facebook has increased dramatically. My travel possibilities are endless. My Mistress helped me sort them into lists of which type of Swiss Mountain Dog most of them are and so far I don’t think I have found any Appenzellers at all. I am starting to conclude that they must be the least computer literate of the four breeds.
