Hello, this is Megan here. Alfie wanted a bit of a lie in, so I asked if I could have a go. I’ve been reading what he’s written and honestly, boys! When he told you that the willow was soaking in the bath he didn’t point out that our humans could still have showers. What must you think of them? I should point out they can use the shower. Just because he doesn’t like water, he forgets how important it is to us girls, although I’m still a dog at heart and prefer a muddy puddle to running clean water.

While I’m here, I’d just like to say ‘Hello’ to my mum and all my family in Switzerland. I miss you very much but I’m happy here. They spoil me rotten and we have a great time. I don’t always get on so well with Shadow. We do play a lot, but it always has to be to her rules and she doesn’t like it if I win. It’s funny because I’m better at running round the garden, so she often just runs round on her own and pretends I’m not there. She’s not a good loser. She does wash my ears for me and we take it in turns to wash Alfie’s. We’re best friends sometimes and sit on the settee together but every so often she thinks I’ve got something that should be hers and then I really know about it. Alfie is great. We get on really well except when I’m being an annoying puppy. Sometimes then he asks me to leave off. He’s shared everything with me without complaining. Even the bird seed that falls out of the feeder and I know how much he likes that. He doesn’t even mind when I get into his bed, which is really sweet of him. Sometimes he looks a bit sad when I’m hogging all the attention, but our Mistress always makes up for that too him and makes sure he has some special time. My favourite place to sleep isn’t in my bed at all. It’s underneath our Mistress’s bed. When she can’t find me, that’s usually where I am, unless I’ve got carried away chewing something I shouldn’t have. I’d just like to say that I’m sorry about the corners of the cane chair. I don’t know what came over me. It was like wood and I just didn’t think.

I guess I’d better go, or Alfie will think I’ve taken over. I don’t think he’ll let me write very often but it was lovely of him to let me today. I’m not going to mention it to Shadow as she’s never done this.

Bye for now and I look forward to meeting you all sometime.
