Happy New Year to all my readers. This is the first new decade since I was born. I was born in the noughties and now am living in the tenties. Anyway, whatever you choose to call the decade then may I take the opportunity to say I hope it brings you joy and prosperity.
I now feel like I can really start looking forward to moving into our new house. In her head, my Mistress has already done most of the moving and has worked out what the new home will be for everything. I think that’s great, but the only problem is that none of the rest of us will have the least idea where to find anything. Although how that differs from now, I’m not absolutely sure.
One good thing when we move will be that the drive is relatively level, which means we won’t have to park by the duck pond in snowy weather. It hasn’t been too much of a hassle, but it isn’t ideal. Another good thing is that we will have a bigger garden to run round in. I’m rather looking forward to that and in Shadow’s case she is looking forward to having a new patch to dig in. The best bit of all is definitely going to be having more windows at dog height so that we can see what is going on outside too. The saddest bit about moving is that I’m going to miss having the sheep in the neighbouring field. That and being able to bark at all the people and dogs that walk past our garden. My Mistress says that the best bit for her will be not having to go out to the garage to get to the tumble dryer. Anyway, we will be moving next month, so there is still plenty of time to get excited and make the most of the things I like here.
