After a night in a garage, I’m up and ready for the off. To be honest I’m really excited and just know I’m going to be asking if we are nearly there yet every five minutes on the journey. I’m reckoning if Andy asks in the gaps between me asking we should strike up a fairly constant chorus. It’s not so bad when I can sit in the front and see the map on the sat-nav. There’s s a little time thing that tells us what time we should arrive. It just means I keep asking ‘what time is it?’ instead of ‘are we nearly there yet?’ but it’s probably equally annoying.
Andy is really excited because he’s going to sleep in his friend’s room when we get there. Matilda said I could sleep in the house, but just as I was getting quite excited about the prospects that would present my Mistress put her foot down and said it might be best if I slept in the garage. I asked why I couldn’t go and sleep in my old room, but my Mistress said you can’t just knock on a door and say ‘Hi, I used to live here, that one was my room, I’ll just be staying the three nights.’ It’s a shame really as I’d quite to see the look on the new people’s faces if I did.
I can’t wait to be back on Belgian soil and be able to say that I’m home. I wonder if I’ve picked up an English accent while I’ve been away?
