Making her own necklace hasn’t turned out too badly at all. Obviously it is a bit of a joint effort as Ari and I supplied the paw prints and a company called recollections embedded them on the silver discs, but my Mistress made the necklace they are now hanging on. She’s rather pleased with it and is wondering about making some more with different fittings on them. I said she should stop before she started getting another business idea! It means that every day she is wearing our pawprints and carrying them with her wherever she goes. It’s a lovely thought. She just wishes she could have had Megan’s and Shadow’s too. She’s missing Megan. She can see the benefits. I’m more relaxed for a start and feeling younger than I was, but she says she misses the cuddles she used to get from Megan and her lovely thick fur. Even I can see that Megan’s coat was rather wonderful, not suitable for a boy you understand but just perfect on a girl.
My Mistress has started to sort things out for Christmas. It’s not as though the puppies will be along before that, but she still feels she wants to be prepared. She ordered Christmas cards yesterday and some of them will have my photograph on. Some will be of last year’s puppies wearing their little Santa hats and there are even some of Aristotle when he first met Santa Claus on the village green. I just hope most of her friends like dogs! She has had some more traditionally Christmassy ones done too with snowy scenes taken in various places. She thought it would make a change. Apparently there won’t be so many decorations this year as she won’t have much opportunity to put them away in time with little puppies around. She has promised we can have a tree though so at least that is good news – you know how important trees are to dogs!
