Black Ice – Saturday 29th December 2018

Black Ice

When we first went out yesterday morning, there was a layer of black ice everywhere. I was glad I’d got four-paw drive, you should have seen Mum sliding before she realised. Anyway, she drove carefully until we joined the main road where they’d gritted. Actually, it was foggy, so she drove carefully there too. I didn’t need my paws over my eyes at all. The sun did eventually come out, but it may not surprise you to hear that we were in my beloved Switzerland by then. It was so nice to get home and get out of the car. I don’t mind travelling, but I do sometimes wish it didn’t take so long.

Today’s Plan

Now I just can’t wait to spend time with some of my favourite people and dogs in my very favourite places. I’m starting with seeing Mama and my birth human for a walk this morning. Oh I’m so excited. Valeria can’t come because she’s due to give birth in about a week’s time. I don’t suppose I’ll get chance to see her at all as she will have her paws up resting. I think Mum is taking me for another walk this afternoon while the boys are visiting a brewery. She says that’s not for us and we’ll be much happier spending more time outdoors. I don’t know where we are going as it will be somewhere near where the boys need to be.

Castles

We’ve been looking to see where the nearest castles are that we could visit too. I think if I’m really lucky I might be going up a mountain by funicular railway too. I’ve never been on one of those so it will be a completely new experience. Mum won’t go on cable cars, so I don’t need to worry about those. I don’t think I’m allowed to go on chair lifts, which is a shame as that might have been fun. I’m waiting to see if my suggesting of sledding is taken up, although Mum has pointed out we’ll need some snow to fall first!

Love
