A very happy Easter to you all. I’m going to spend my day waiting to see if the Easter Bunny will have the nerve to visit our house. She’d be fine coming to see me, but I don’t fancy her chances if Shadow gets to see her. I’m not allowed to take part in the village Easter hunt, even though our Mistress has been organising it. She says it’s because I’ve seen all the clues, but to be honest I wasn’t paying that much attention. I’m hoping she might do a special Easter treat hunt just for us around the garden.
Shadow and Wilma had a lovely time playing chase in the sunshine yesterday. Shadow’s leg has been feeling so much better since she started swimming and although she couldn’t keep up with Wilma she had the sense to keep taking short cuts so that she wasn’t left behind. She’s still a pretty sharp old thing, although she prefers me not to call her old.
Alfie has not been himself the last few days. He’s spent a lot of time crying and our Mistress has absolutely no idea why. She tried to give him some time with her on his own, but he just lay down by the back door. He didn’t want to go out, so she had no idea why he was there. When he did go out he just stood outside the back door facing her and didn’t go anywhere. She’s a bit worried about him, quite apart from getting very frustrated by his constant whining. I hope I’m not like that when I get old. I want to be as mischievous then as I am now and cause absolute mayhem. I’m thinking of putting my name down for a motorised buggy so that when my legs give out I can still get about under my own steam. It will have ‘go faster’ stripes and do 0 – 60 faster than Wilma.

HAPPY EASTER to everyone!!!! Hope you all have a lovely day. The Easter bunny has been here but we are not allowed chocolate so have been promised some steak with dinner tonight as a special treat. I cannot wait!! I will be first in the queue.
