Monday 8th August 2016 – Doing my homework

Hello everyone, it’s Wilma here. Although Mum is away she’s left me with homework to do. Originally she told me I could have a whole play week, with no working, but with my test being put back I’m supposed to be practicing. It’s so hard without her here to work with me. It’s fun when we work on it together but no fun on my own. She told me that Cinderella has just passed her Silver so I have a lot to live up to. As long as I pass then I can move onto silver, but I don’t think that course will start until next year. I have to work with the competition obedience class in the meantime, but that’s ok as I get to work outside and I love being in the fresh air.

When I do my exam I’ve got to remember not to stand too near my best friend, Jas the Airedale. We don’t mean to, but when we get together everything is a real hoot and we can’t help ourselves from having fun. Most of the exercises I can still concentrate on, but if we aren’t careful I start barking with the excitement and Mum tells me off. I try to keep a straight face but then when I’m not looking Jas jumps on me and we fall about laughing again. I think everyone needs a best friend and we do only see each other once a week.

Alfie asked me to water the vegetables for Mum this week, but I can’t really reach with the hosepipe. Besides which have you ever found, once a hosepipe is turned on, that it’s far more fun to try to drink from it than use it to water the plants. I could play that game all day. Isn’t life fun when you’re a puppy?
