Monday 2nd March 2015 – An Odd Thought

This weekend has been odd. Shadow was clearly a little upset and it turns out she was thinking of the fact that she should have been giving birth to puppies this weekend. I said that at least she could look forward to Crufts instead and she shrugged. She’s looking forward to cheering her son Basil on when he’s in the ring on Friday, but although she’ll enjoy the rest she says she’d have liked to be bringing up another litter of puppies even more. She will just have to look forward to the summer and hope all goes well then. At least this isn’t going to change the total number of litters she has. She is only allowed four litters under the Kennel Club rules so whatever happens the next one will be her last.

Our Mistress has promised that she will spend this afternoon working with me on my broadcast and seeing if I can get it finished. We’re running out of time and I’m starting to worry that it will be less than the perfect I was hoping for. It’s only a week now to the book launch and I’m feeling nervous. When she was working on her own things on Saturday our Mistress found an error on something I had done on the Party site for membership. Fortunately with a bit of work she was able to help me put it right, but it did eat into the time we could have spent on the extra photography and editing for the broadcast. We did a little photography yesterday, but she didn’t have that much time.  She assures me these things usually come together just in the nick of time. It’s something to do with the adrenalin from working under pressure meaning you are more focussed and get things done. I’ve never really been one to like pressure. I prefer to build in enough napping time. Maybe that’s where I’ve been going wrong.
