I’ve seen the first edit of Alfie’s party political broadcast and I have to say it’s much better than I expected. I’m a star. If I say so myself, I completely steal the show. Alfie has different ideas. For some reason he thinks it’s all about the policies and how they are portrayed, but I think he’s probably missing the point. There is some more work to do and we have more filming to do later as Alfie wants it all to be perfect, but it really is starting to look as though it will be ready in time for the launch. Our Mistress says it’s going to be hard to get much done on it after Tuesday as she and Alfie won’t be in the same place. I don’t think she trusts him to finish it on his own! He says it’s just because he needs help with the software, but he’s only saying that to cover his pride. I suppose I should be grateful he isn’t a really self-important dog who throws his weight around, what with the launch on Monday 9th and being on the radio on the Tuesday of that week. He’d be unbearable if he weren’t so mild-mannered. He’s even included pictures of Megan in the broadcast. I do hope she gets to watch it too.
Today is one of those ‘Be a good dog and stay out of the way’ sorts of days. They don’t happen very often in our house, but our Mistress has her new work website going live today and needs to be ready to sort out any teething problems. You can see it HERE Then this evening our Mistress has a lot of friends coming round. They don’t do that very often, but apparently we’ll get overexcited with that many people. I think her real fear is that I will nibble things off the plates of food as I hand them round. I could dress up as a waiter. I’ve found an apron that works as I had to use it for the broadcast, although a little tuxedo might be more my style.
