We had a little snow yesterday. Not enough to build a snowman, but enough to make me think twice about going out. It melted part way through the day, when the sun came out, but it was nice to look at for a while. Shadow and Aristotle were more than happy to go for walks in it, but I had more sense and asked if I could take the afternoon slot when it had cleared.
Today is going to be odd as our Mistress has had to go to London for the day so we’re all a bit subdued. We’ll save our excitable barking for when she comes home this evening.
Last we heard, Aida has arrived in Switzerland and is planning to go to see the stud dog today. We do hope everything goes well. It’s really funny, she going to see the dog that her mother had her second litter with. I find it confusing that that doesn’t make them related, but he’s a sort of step-father I suppose, which isn’t a blood relative at all. Aida is hoping if she has a son that he will stay at home with her when all the others go to their new homes. You’d think if she spoke to Shadow she’d realise what a bad idea that is. Not that I’ve really got anything against Ari, but it was definitely easier when it was only the two of us and he does come between me and my Mistress when I want her all to myself. I’m just not as young as I used to be and really want a quiet retirement without the bother of a bouncy three year old pouncing on me at intervals. I guess I’m just not a sociable sort of dog, when it comes to other dogs. I’m better with people really.

Just to let you know I went for my annual check up today. I passed with flying colours!
The Vet said I was a very good boy as I had all my injections and drops standing next to my Mum without the help of a nurse. I weigh 26kgs and she said my coat was nice and shiny. My mate Dilys had to come too as she pulled a nail out of her front foot the other day. She is being very brave. We are keeping our fingers crossed for Shadow and now Aida what an exciting time. No snow here just a very soggy wet garden. Love from us all, Dickens and the gang XXXXXXX
