When the weather is clear and sunny it’s nice walking even in winter. Shadow had a lovely time up on the airfield for her walk. My Mistress was so enjoying the weather that she stopped to take some photos of Shadow in the sunlight. I complained that she didn’t do that with me and Ari but she said she takes more of us two normally so didn’t feel the least bit guilty. I think I was just a bit fed up that she didn’t set the fire so it would keep going while she was out so I was not as cosy as I would have liked! She did get the fire going again when she got home, but that’s not the point.
Our first Christmas card has arrived. My Mistress found it slightly ironic that it came from one of our Master’s friend’s who always gets her name wrong, but she reminded herself that it’s the thought that counts – but as they had committed the cardinal sin of putting her down as ‘Rosie’ she might have sworn a bit before reminding herself of the thought! It’s not that there is anything wrong with the name Rosie, but the only people who have got away with calling our Mistress that were her grandfather and a school friend who very sadly died at the age of 16. I think to be a ‘Rosie’ you have to be a soft cuddly sort of person and although I may see my Mistress in that light I don’t think that’s how she sees herself!
I’m not really in our Mistress’s good books right now. I keep getting up at 5am. I had been doing better, but I seem to have reverted to an early start and she is not best pleased.
