Well the ulcer on my eye seems to have gone completely but I do have a little scarring for which I now have different eye drops, in the hope that it will reduce. Thankfully I only have to have these ones twice a day, so it’s not too bad.
We all wanted one of those quiet days yesterday. It was dull and not that warm and we all felt like hibernating. My Mistress said that were it not for the fact she wanted to hibernate too, she could have got a lot of work done. She did find out that there are only 853 of my little car left registered in the UK. Actually, that was the number in March and it has been falling rapidly so there must be even fewer now. Even at their ‘height’ there were only about 1500 registered, but even so it makes it something to look after. I reminded her she needed to charge its battery, but we were all too lethargic to do anything about it.
Now she can walk properly around the loft it is apparent that there are as many as four or five sites where the mice have been nesting at intervals. It turns out that what she thought was feathers, thinking there had been birds nesting, was in fact part of the wall insulation that the mice had pulled out to turn it into nest material. The war to get our loft back is going to be ongoing. We might have won the battle of October 28th but the overall war is still in the balance. It was suggested that we might think about getting a C A T! Can you imagine? My Mistress used to have them years ago, but concluded with her allergies that it didn’t make sense to have any more. I don’t think she is likely to reconsider, I can’t see it standing a chance with Shadow.
