Unfortunately with our Mistress having been away so recently, Aristotle is paranoid that he is going to be left and won’t let her out of his sight unless he is in the car. It is making some of our walks quite complicated as he always has to go first and then sit and wait in the car afterwards until we’ve had ours. Fortunately with the weather being so bad yesterday it was all perfectly safe, but it’s a good job it wasn’t a hot day as I don’t know what she would have done. It is not as though he was even prepared to stay with our Master, which I think may have caused just a little bit of upset. I don’t know what he’s going to say when I take our Mistress away for a few days in August.
Thankfully the swimming on Friday did leave my back feeling quite a bit better and I have been happy to have some walks. I didn’t even complain about having to go out in the rain, although I was glad that we did not have to go out during the thunder and lightning.
One very exciting thing is happening next month. An Entlebucher boy is coming to the UK from Europe which will take our numbers back up to the 50. Where my Mistress becomes aware that a puppy is available she contacts all those waiting on the puppy list who are suitable to see if any of them would like to import. She then makes all the arrangements to make it as easy as possible. It is not often that a puppy is available and the breeder is happy to look after it until it is old enough to travel to the UK. It is great when it does work out.
