It is fast turning into one of those weeks. I set off for a sunny walk yesterday, only to get caught in a heavy downpour. I did get the first ten paces in the dry, but after that it rather deteriorated. Shadow has had a poorly foot for the last few weeks, so she went to the vet yesterday and got some different medication for it. That wasn’t really the bad news. The bad news is that the vet thinks her season might well start in the next few days and she is supposed to be going to see some of her puppies this weekend. At this rate the poor girl will be staying at home with me and to be honest I prefer the idea of home alone to home with a hormonal female. It will of course also be very sad if Shadow is not there to see her own puppies. My Mistress is willing it to hold off until after the weekend, or at least only be at the very beginning by Saturday. If it does start now it could be very cold and snowy when she is mated in another six months!
My Master is trying to schedule watching the world cup matches around the things he is supposed to be doing and of course as with all these things there are clashes. It is one of those times in the calendar that you just know something is going to go wrong and fights will break out. My Mistress has tried to second guess where the flash points will be and taking evasive action. It’s safer that way. I think she may be going a little far leaving the country for the final stages. I can’t imagine for a minute that England will get as far as that.
