There are some trees in our garden that have seeds which are covered in white woolly stuff to help them fly to new destinations. This year there are so many and so much woolly covering that it actually looks as though it has been snowing on our summerhouse. The bad news is that means that it is going to be trying to grow thousands of little trees all over our garden and yet again there will be the constant battle to stop our garden becoming reclaimed woodland. To be honest my Mistress and I wouldn’t mind it being reclaimed but the neighbours might object and the house could be a little dark. We used to like our house in Belgium which was surrounded by big trees and my Mistress has always liked the idea of living in the middle of a forest clearing, she’s probably got idea of a fairydell in the garden as well so I suppose I shouldn’t listen too closely to her.
A decision has been reached over when Shadow will be mated. Unless her seasons are completely odd then it will be in around six months, even if it is Christmas. The alternative is a far worse prospect for my Mistress as it would stop her being able to do anything to celebrate her birthday and it’s a special one, although I don’t think I’m supposed to mention the actual number. She can’t feel too bad about it as I have already passed it in dog years. I don’t seem to remember much in the way of a celebration of my birthday so I don’t really know what all the fuss is about. Mind you, she was relieved to find that having utterly forgotten her wedding anniversary when planning her trip to America she does at least arrive back in the UK on the day and not miss it altogether.
