Despite the dreadful weather the journey went very well yesterday and they are half way there. My Mistress said being totally engrossed in the book she is listening to, made the time pass really quickly. Of course, she said that the girls being as good as gold also helped. The hotel where they are staying is a funny place, but at least she can park right outside their room and the door opens onto the outside world so it’s very easy to walk the girls. That is definitely an advantage when you are travelling with a dog in season. She is concerned that she might go out to find a queue of all the local strays outside the door, but it can’t be helped. She’s got her own food with her so there is no problem for this evening. The girls won’t have to go and sit back in the car while our Mistress goes out to eat.
It was funny, my Mistress has been wearing a t shirt to get it to smell of her so she can leave it for Megan in Switzerland to help her transition. She put it in the crate in the back with Megan. When Megan got in she sniffed, coughed and said ‘Who left this smelly t shirt here?’ They say it’s the thought that counts.
On the other paw, Ari and I passed a quiet day. Quiet except him wanting to play I spy. When you are holed up in a kennel, surrounded by other kennels there are only so many things you can spy. It got a bit tedious after the first five minutes. The thought of having to play it day in day out for the next week or so, is not appealing!
