Shadow has a poorly toe. We don’t know how it started, the vet thinks it is something like a wart, but then she got an infection in it and some ingrowing hair – actually it was probably the hair that led to the infection. Anyway, the infection has cleared up but the growth is rubbing on the next toe and is very sore. She went to see our vet yesterday and has had a biopsy taken to check what it is and is having it operated on on Monday to remove the growth so it won’t rub anymore. She’s not like us boys – she’s really brave at the vet and puts us to shame, but she says she isn’t looking forward to it very much.
Megan must be close to her season starting. She’s behaving like a loopy dog. When she goes out for a walk she’s chasing after everything and at home doesn’t know what to do with herself. It’s also making Ari slightly crazy and my Mistress is fed up with both of them. The main problem is that my Mistress was going to do something called baseline progesterone testing for this season to try to understand the pattern of Megan’s seasons better so that they can get her pregnant – however, the time when she’ll need her blood tests my Mistress won’t be here to take her to the vet because she’ll be in Belgium with me. Megan says she’s happy as she wasn’t looking forward to all those blood tests but my Mistress is a bit fed up. Ah well – it’s typical.
My Mistress feels cheated today. She spent most of yesterday convinced it was Friday and now has to do Friday all over again. I said it wasn’t so bad as Friday is quite a good day so two of them is a bonus. She should be grateful not to have two Mondays in one week. Her response was that she would prefer two Saturdays, but as she does much the same thing on a Saturday as on a Friday I don’t see the problem.
