A very happy Easter to you all. I hope those of you in the UK have remembered to change you clocks and I hope you like your new ones!
I can now reveal that the jester hats and the hobby horses were because the theme for the fancy dress was ‘things that make you laugh’ and my Master and Mistress, currently known as Alfie and Megan, have gone as the television programme ‘Only Fools and Horses’. I think the ‘fools’ element is perhaps the more accurate! They did win the quiz on the first night, at least their table did but they did conclude that there were a couple of teams who take part on our village pub quizzes that they thought would have beaten them quite easily. I don’t think they are quite as clear as the reasons people around them are being murdered, but I am pleased to say that I spoke to both of them and they are both still very much alive! It all wraps up later today and they start their journey home, via both my sets of human grandparents.
In the meantime I’m arranging a small Easter Egg hunt for Aristotle, except I’m doing it without the eggs and using dog treats instead. The idea, as he’s still a youngster, was to hide them around the garden for him to find and it would have worked well if Shadow hadn’t been watching me and hovered them all up before Aristotle had the chance. It was supposed to be a surprise for when he got up, but I’m going to have to go round and do it all again with Shadow out of the way. It had been hard enough to remind myself not to eat them as I went round hiding them so to have to do it twice is nothing short of torture.
