There I was on the theme of travel plans not going according to plan and what happens? My Mistress got up early, got ready, got me and Ari up. (Shadow was with James so didn’t have to get up so soon) and despite the snow she set off for Birmingham. I did the only sensible thing a dog can do in that situation, I went back to bed. There I was snoozing away and the next thing I know she’s back. It turned out she’d had a test when she was on her way to the station to say her hairdresser was snowed in and wasn’t going to make it. All I can say is that it’s a good job she hadn’t got on the train as she’d have been less than thrilled to find herself having an unscheduled day out in Sheffield or wherever she could have got out for the turn-round trip. With the snow we had a quiet day staying in at home with us a lot happier to have her around. It just means she’s going to have to carry on looking a mess until she can rearrange her trip for.
My Mistress spent much of the day writing her presentation on our breed for training judges. I honestly didn’t know there was so much to say about us until I say she had 80 slides. To me it’s just my tail – it doesn’t need some lengthy description on how it should look. I just know that if I’m happy it wags! If I’m worried it goes between my legs. What more can there be to say? Even then there was no mention of the lovely white bit on the end. Apparently although that is distinctive it is not essential. And what is a ‘croup’ when it’s at home? I’m going to have to do some research to match the words to my body so I’m better positioned to demonstrate.
