My Mistress plans things to perfection, or at least she tries to. However, perfection would depend on everybody and everything doing their bit and sadly they don’t. Her operation was a week late, so her hand is not as advanced as she’d hoped by this stage. Megan’s season was early so she’s picking her up a little earlier than expected and before that she has to collect Amigo from Ireland. She has only been to Ireland once before and the weather was dreadful. While she was there it did nothing but rain and then when she came home theirs was the only ferry not cancelled for bad weather and when she got back to England she was very very sick when she got off. She has planned the trip for Amigo carefully. Because she is going to be struggling with her hand she has booked the fast ferry so that he is only on board for two hours and she can then drive to somewhere that a friend can help get him out. What she has not been able to control is the weather! I know it’s only Saturday but she has looked ahead and the forecast does not suggest things are going to be improving anytime soon. The fast ferry has not been running because of the windy weather. It is looking horribly as though she will have to catch the slow ferry, which does not run at such a good time and takes twice as long. So much for plans.
Quite apart from the ferry problems I’m still waiting to see if she makes it down to Birmingham on the train today. There’s quite a lot of snow in some places. It may not have been the best day to pick to go 160 miles each way to have her hair cut!
