Wrinkles are normally seen as a bad thing. They are nature’s way of proving you aren’t as young as you’d like to think and on humans they can be pretty noticeable. To be fair they can show the kindness and humour in a face, but they can also show worry and bitterness and most of all years! Anyway, enough of philosophising, for once my Mistress is very happy to see some wrinkles. Up until now her hand has been so badly swollen from her operation that the skin was tight and painful. Yesterday she went for her second session of physiotherapy and the lovely lady used ultrasound on her swollen hand to help with the blood flow and to reduce the swelling. By later in the afternoon my Mistress was positively celebrating the sight of wrinkles. She’s hoping it will mean she can start doing her exercises and getting a bit more movement back in her hand. The physio said that it’s not necessarily doing as well as some might but it’s doing ok and it is still early days. She has at least got to the point where she can drive a little bit and what’s one of the first things she’s going to do? She’s taking Aristotle swimming! He’s not happy. He was quite enjoying not having to go, but to be fair, even he had to admit that his leg has been much better as a result of having built up his muscles. She’s said if he’s good he can go to the pet shop too, so now I’m sulking as I’d like to go to the pet shop, although not combined with going swimming! Of course she may have a problem getting there as the road is flooded and the one you can go round to avoid the flood is closed for the day. I hope she leaves enough time for the long way round!
