Realising that the puppies will be heading off to their homes next week we have weaned them from their mother and now we need to wean you from your need for puppy fixes. Obviously the camera is still on them on the puppy cam, but from tomorrow there will only be the usual daily update here at Alfie’s Diary. I know you’ll find that hard, but it is in your own interests and you’ll never achieve anything in 2013 if you spend all the time reading my diary. It’s justified to allow long enough to read the daily update! I will still bring you their weights and progress reports but it will all post at around midnight as long as I press the right buttons. The start of the update today posted as January 2012 due to my forgetting to change the year, but it’s sorted now.
The next litter of Entlebuchers if all goes to plan will be from Annie. She has started her coat shedding which always precedes her season and will be heading off to Germany to meet with the arranged stud dog just as soon as the time is right. If everything goes as planned her puppies will be born around late March. Her mother Queenie will be a couple of weeks later with her final litter, as long as we can line up a stud dog for her. Then it’s Megan’s turn to try again. It would be remarkable for there to be three litters in the first half of the year alone. We’ve never had three in a year before.
Basil has caught Tess up on weight again. They are both 4260g. Dickens is 4570g and Tucker 4350g. Little Beija is up to 3950g and is as beautiful as ever.
