Never mind my lack of human rights, my civil rights have been violated. I am being made to have a bath. I have got away without a bath for about two years, but apparently I smell revolting and my Mistress has had enough. I protested that I don’t like water. I explained that I suffer from eczema, but my protestations are in vain. I have been reassured that I will be thoroughly towelled dry and if I really want to I can then have the hair dryer to be absolutely certain. To be quite honest, I don’t want to. The hair dryer is a very noisy animal and I don’t like it. I have been given until this afternoon to show I can deal with the problem myself and if that fails then my Mistress is taking it upon herself to put me in the shower. I said that as she had only put tick treatment on my coat and the tick treatment was expensive that it was a bad time, but sadly my smell is sufficiently outrageous to justify the cost. I tried to argue that smell was coming from one of the girls, but as I followed my Mistress around the house to explain the smell followed with us and rather pulled the rug from under my feet. This is not a good day.

Apparently, Megan is looking more like her mother around the nose as she gets older. I can only think that her mum must be very pretty as Megan is a very pretty dog. My Mistress would really like my half-brother Glen to be the father of one of our litters. It would have to be Shadow as he is Megan’s half-uncle. It’s probably a good job because I can’t see us being able to give away any of the puppies if they had two such gorgeous parents and were my nieces and nephews into the bargain.
