The concrete for finishing the base didn’t go down yesterday as it rained so much, so we are now hoping it will be dry on Monday. Can you imagine what five dogs could do to a whole large area of wet concrete? Oh the paw prints we could make. We could preserve our marks for posterity. My Mistress says we aren’t going to get that opportunity, which I think is a dreadful shame. As long as it’s laid on Monday it will be dry before Tuesday. Oh well, I suppose we will be restricted to going out on leads in the meantime.

I keep thinking about the fact that somewhere out there Megan is on her way here. I really am wishing her and all her family a safe journey. I can’t wait to show her off to everyone around here. I do so hope she likes it. Of course the view isn’t as nice as the one from her old home. She may find our little village a bit tame, but I’ll do my best to make up for that. We’ve even arranged another fun day for her to enjoy meeting other Entlebuchers in September. I was talking to Granny on the phone the other day too and she said they will try to arrange a time they can come and meet her as well.

I was wondering whether Megan would like to do a ‘guest entry’ in my diary. I had always thought that Shadow might like to but she has never mastered the computer and doesn’t sit still long enough either. Megan however I have high hopes for. She is so much brighter than Shadow.

We are looking after my Master today while my Mistress has her hair cut. She goes by train all the way to Birmingham, which the rest of us think is crazy, but that doesn’t seem to stop her. I think she quite enjoys the day out.
