Oh we did have fun yesterday. My Master and Mistress decided to take advantage of the good weather to sort out everything in the garage and the garden store. Shadow and I were able to spend most of the day in the garden running round with sticks and chasing balls. The be fair, Shadow had spent most of the previous evening running round with sticks and liberally distributed all the kindling for the fire around the room while everyone went to the pub and left us behind. Fortunately they saw the funny side of it.

In amongst the items that were found in the garage were the remaining missing things. The parts to build the wardrobe, that we have ordered replacements for, were there. So too were the feet from the wine rack. All in all it was a celebration all round, except for later last night when they decided it was a good time to build the wardrobe and I can tell you that after a glass or two of wine building a wardrobe is not such a good idea. We didn’t quite get to the point of the doors opening onto the ceiling but we weren’t far off. Shadow and I just sat in awe and watched the miracle that is human activity.

Today is the first day when life can begin to return to something approaching normality. Most of the boxes are unpacked. Most of the rubbish has gone to the tip. Most of the building work is complete. We do still have workmen here and there are still some things to get straight, but all in all I feel as though I can start to picture what life is going to be like and I must say I’m quite happy with it.
