The day has finally arrived. While we are sitting in our kennels contemplating the world and twiddling our paws, my Master and Mistress are moving all our belongings into the new house. Obviously they are doing it with the help of a very nice removals company. If they were doing it by themselves then they probably wouldn’t be talking for a very long time afterwards.
I have an axe to grind with the lady from the dog training school. Does she have no feelings? James has been told that when he comes in he shouldn’t greet his dog but should go and do something else ignoring his dog and then only give her attention later when he’s ready. Now I quite understand that we should no our place) at least in theory, but think about it. How would you like it if you were all excited because the person you loved had just come through the door and then they walked straight past you without so much as a word and only came back to you later? You’d feel sad. By all means tell us that it’s the wrong thing to do to jump up and go crazy, but please don’t just ignore us. It breaks our little hearts. Shadow is still a toddler. She’s still at that stage where she can’t contain her excitement and wait nicely. I have learnt to sit and ask nicely for some love, unless that is you go to Shadow first in which case I may remind you that I’m there too. This dog psychology is all well and good as long as you remember we have feelings just like you. My Mistress has refused to do what the lady has said and for that I have to say I am very grateful.
