A very happy Easter to you all from me and my Shadow. That’s about as united as the message is going to get. To be quite honest she is driving me nuts. As it turns there will be no Easter bunnies. We seem to have negotiated that the rabbits will arrive within the next three weeks, which gives my Mistress a fighting chance of getting on top of things with our little tyrant, Shadow. It isn’t that she has destroyed anything that’s very important unless you include my toys. I’ve managed to keep my ball in one piece for three years. Now it is in more pieces than even I can count. I’m not a possessive dog but there are limits. I’ve retrieved my favourite reindeer toy and taken it to another part of the house.
I have been trying to explain to Shadow the importance of the work of the Pet Dogs Democratic Party in the hope that she will be able to help me with the cause. Unfortunately we are still at the basics like what’s the difference between a pet and a working dog. I suggested that she should learn that one pretty quickly and make sure she preserved her position as a pet. I didn’t like to tell her that the plan is for her to have litters of puppies when she’s older. Maybe that’s a story I’ll save to explain to her later. At the moment she hasn’t even worked out the difference between boys and girls. She’s still seeing if she can get milk from me and I can assure her there really isn’t anything there that she’s going to want.
I was interested that Buenos Aires zoo gave it’s animals special Easter treats. If it’s good enough for them, where is mine. OK, so I don’t have to put up with being kept in a cage but neither do the children and they got treats.
