We’re all glum
We’re all glum as Dad has to go away today for a couple of weeks. He is flying to Germany and then on to Switzerland. We know it’s not for long, but we really don’t want him to go at all. Ari and I are not too bad about it, but Shadow is inconsolable. He’s her human and she really doesn’t want to be apart from him at all. She is much better, so at least she can hopefully look forward to seeing him in a couple of weeks. In the meantime Ari and I have to look after Mum, while she looks after Shadow.
Plan for the week
Mum has said if we can all be patient with her in a morning so she can get some work done, then we can all be outside in the afternoons. She’s promised Aristotle that they will sort out the rest of his herbs and vegetables. She’s even hoping that later in the week she will have some help to dig his vegetable bed so he can get some other plants in before it’s too late. It will all depend on how her leg is doing. At least we now know what’s wrong with it, even if it isn’t exactly fixed yet. It’s not the same as Ari after all. It’s a torn meniscus, whatever one of those is.
Blue tits
We are very upset with the blue tits. We have supported them through thick and thin, watched them build their nest and feed their young. How do you think they have shown their gratitude? They have flown the nest without so much as saying goodbye or leaving us a note. We don’t know if they’ll be back, or if they’ve just walked out on us. It’s very upsetting. I hope they at least have happy memories of their time here.
Love
