Pond Fencing
The pond fencing arrived yesterday. I helped her take it down the garden in the barrow, but it was raining so much that she said she would have to wait to start on it. I was game to stay outside in the rain, but she was less keen. She would prefer to cut the grass before putting the fence up, but thanks to the rain while the grass is definitely growing it is far too wet to cut. Mind you, with the shed leaking she’s not altogether keen to plug the mower in to charge the batteries.
Promotion
An odd sort of promotion I know, but my picture is going to appear on Mum’s new mouse mat. I feel very honoured. Until now there has been a picture of Alfie, but the mat needs replacing and Mum said it was time to have a different picture. It was hard as we sat going back through photos together and you find all sorts. She wanted one of me in Switzerland and we slowly narrowed it down. I found one of me with some of my friends that I liked, but Mum said she wanted to see more of the place as well. In the end she settled on the one I’ve used today – me at St Jost. Now it’s just made us want to go even more than we already did.
Voice of Protest
We’re still voicing our protest about a later teatime. To be honest I pretty much barked myself hoarse over it. What did Mum do? Did she give in as I had hoped? No, she shut me out of her office and refused to talk to me about it until I could be more polite. It’s all very well being a stubborn and determined breed of dog, but we have an ‘owner most like their dog’ contest going on here and on this one Mum is definitely winning.
