Gate Crashing – Thursday 16th December 2021

Gate crashing

I’m planning on gate crashing a party. It’s Mum’s fault. She’s told me that there might be a goat attending the party. A real goat! Admittedly the party is online so I won’t be able to have a good sniff, but I’m still fascinated. Mum has said she should he hiring us out to attend Christmas parties. We could have huge fun. Admittedly they might be best to put me on mute, but I’m sure that’s not a problem. There’s going to be a magician on the call as well as a goat, but I don’t think the goat will be doing magic tricks. I guess that would be a very clever goat. I was wondering if we could invite the goat round to teach us to do some magic tricks.

Negotiating the day

I’m negotiating with Mum about the plans for the rest of the day. Mum wants to do indoor jobs. I want to do outdoor jobs. I can see her point, when Dad comes home she will have to shield from him for a while. If we do the outdoor jobs then he can be outside with us and we can all be together. He can’t be with us doing the indoor jobs to begin with as it’s too high a risk for Mum. Mum is trying to get her booster vaccination, but can only have AstraZeneca so now needs a hospital referral to get it. It looks as though we’re going to be stuck at home for quite a while.

From a dog point of view it’s good having her at home, but it’s a worry too. We’re doing our best to keep her safe as we really need her here for us. It’s going to be a very quiet Christmas – but we’ll help eat the turkey. That’s something we can do.
