Finally home – Saturday 25th September 2021

Finally home

Dad is finally home – and it means the house is home too. Until I have both my humans I’m never completely happy. Oh, I spent yesterday barking at delivery men, sheep, neighbours – but it’s never quite as satisfying to do when part of my pack is missing. Yes, I know Shadow and Ari are part of my pack, but it’s my humans I want most in the world.

Unsettled

I’d felt unsettled when Mum packed the car up from where we’ve been staying. We’ve been there for the last six weeks, so I’d completely got the hang of things. We are going this afternoon so I can say goodbye to Molly and Pickle and so Mum can collect the few things she couldn’t fit in.

Then it was odd last night trying to get the hang of what was expected and where I was allowed to sleep. Mum has said I will be able to sleep on the bed, but only when my eyes are completely better.

Home alone

I have my first alone time this morning. That is going to be so odd. It will only be for a short time, while Mum and Dad go to talk to the owner of the field about the fence and what’s best to do. Mum asked if I could do some unpacking while she’s out, but I would never put things in the right places. At least, that was the excuse I gave. I may rearrange one or two things if they are out too long, but not in a good way!

On the bright side, I’m guessing now that Dad is home there might be a fair amount of being outside in the garden. That gets my vote every time. It certainly beats unpacking boxes!
