Giant Birds – Friday 5th February 2021

Giant Birds

I don’t mean to alarm you, but I think some giant birds have moved into our garden. When it snowed the other day I took photographs of two sets of footprints. You can see just how big one set are by the nearby print that Mum left. I think in fairness that one might have been from the pheasant, but I don’t know who left the other which were equally big. Mum said it was probably a crow but, if it was, that was one very big crow! I think we ought to seriously rethink how much we’re feeding these birds. The rate they are going, they are going to want to take over the house as well as the garden and I don’t fancy sharing with them.

Preparing for Saturday

Shadow has been practicing ready for me to film her for tomorrow’s diary. She is this week’s participant on the brain games and tough toys for dogs entries. To be fair, it is her snuffle mat, so it would have been mean for me to take it away and show it to you myself. You’ll have to see what we say about it tomorrow.

Of course, that is assuming that Mum remembers it is Saturday. Yesterday morning Dad rang. Mum was surprised as he’s usually busy on a Friday morning. Dad had to tell her it was Thursday. Then she realised she had an online meeting to get to so had to rush to get ready. I think this whole confusion thing has now been going on so long that she is past hope.

Murder Mystery

Mum and Dad are doing an online murder mystery together. They are really enjoying it and I have been trying to help. I find it harder to sniff things out when they are on the computer. Yesterday lunchtime Mum was busy trying to solve a secret code and I have to say that was not something I was any use for at all. It’s keeping them out of mischief.
