Happy New Year 2020
Well, how about that, I’m still here to wish you a happy New Year 2020. Our Mistress says the way things are going I may outlive all of you, but I’m taking it a day at a time. Yesterday was a better day. It was Shadow paying a trip to the vet yesterday rather than me. Our Mistress has noticed she has been coughing after she has a drink. The vet says the heart murmur she has developed recently seems to have got worse, so as a precaution she is going to see a specialist so we can try to find out a little more about what is going on. We’d rather start her on medication early and get things under control than leave it late. Our Mistress said having one of us ill was quite bad enough, so hopefully all will be well for her.
New Year Walk
Our Mistress really really wants to go for a New Year Walk. She says sitting in a chair for weeks on end is driving her slowly crazy. I beg to differ. As far as I’m aware, she’s been crazy a lot longer than she’s been sitting in a chair. Anyway, I’m grateful for her sitting here as she’s keeping me company. I suspect when she is allowed to go for walks it may take a little while for her to build up some strength again. She’s got another week or so before she’s back at the hospital, so she can stick with crazy for a while longer yet. She’s just hoping she will be all right to drive after that, otherwise I think you might all hear her frustration.

Thank you Alfie for your good wishes. A Happy New Year to you all too. We did not stay up partying last night but knew when the new year had arrived as there were fireworks and cheering from the neighbours. We are having a relaxing day here too. I am hoping my walks are still on the agenda though. I do not think the sun will be out today but as long as it is dry I do not mind. Love everyone Dickens XXXXXXXXXXX P.S.
