My Brothers
I saw one of my brothers yesterday. It was one of those lovely surprises. I had to stay at the kennels overnight as our Mistress had to go away for the day. Anyway, I’d checked in and was just getting settled in my room when I got a call from reception, would I mind just nipping back for a minute as Bernie’s human wanted to meet me. Well of course I was happy to oblige. Bernie is my half brother on my father’s side. He’s much younger than me, so not nearly do grey. Anyway, Bernie was thrilled that we were all there as Wilma is a good friend of his. It is nice when we can have these impromptu meet ups.
Crufts Qualification
I heard from my brother Dickens yesterday too. He’s qualified for next year’s Crufts. I’m so pleased for him. I shall be watching from home in the hope he makes it onto television. Obviously I’ll be watching Wilma and the others too. I think Basil, another of my brothers will be there as well as a number of my friends. Our Mistress is already planning her diary for then, which is scary as it’s still six months away.
And Another
While we’re on the subject of my brothers, Amigo has only gone and torn his cruciate ligament. Given another of my brothers, Basil, tore his only a couple of weeks ago, it really isn’t going well. Basil has now had his repaired and Amigo is going to have an operations soon as well. It makes me glad I’m such a laid back sort of dog who doesn’t do so much jumping around. It did make me think I might give more thought to losing weight though, just to improve my own fitness a bit. I didn’t see myself as overweight until I was standing next to Bernie. I suddenly realised I might have let myself go just a little bit.
Anyway, have a really happy Sunday
