Monday 17th July 2017 – Holidays here I come

Oh I’m an excited dog. I know there are still a few days to go, but I just can’t wait to see all my friends on the beach next Sunday. I’m not particularly planning to go in the sea, not after what happened last time when it made me very poorly, but I do plan on digging some holes in the sand and maybe building a sand kennel. Sogeli, Ari’s sister, will be there and she is the best sand digger you will ever meet. She was sending sand everywhere last year. Cracker and Otto will be there too and Hendrix and Dora. Dora is Sogeli and Ari’s full sister, but she missed out on playing last year as she hasn’t been well. Now she’s back and she’ll be showing us all how to enjoy ourselves. I’m just hoping she and Shadow don’t end up arguing. It’s one of those mother / daughter things where they are just too alike. I’m really glad that Hendrix is coming, otherwise I’d be the only one who wasn’t related and that would be weird.

The human teenager of the house mocked when Shadow and I started to discuss our packing. ‘What does a dog need on holiday?’ Shadow and I looked at each other and then started giving him a list. He seemed a little surprised that we planned to take so much, but a girl can never have enough leads and collars. Then we’re going to need lots of tennis balls to occupy the humans and biscuits to nibble on the journey. I’m not really sure how we’re going to get the teenager in the car with all our stuff to go in. I just hope he’s going to keep his packing to a minimum. He had better be ready to do some serious Frisbee throwing to make up for his mockery.

Have a great week
