Tuesday 20th September 2016 – Causing Trouble

I thought I’d write for myself today to give you a bit of an update. I still haven’t had my test results back and I may not be being an ideal patient. I’d like to apologise to all the animals that had to wait for their appointments last night at the vet, because it took so long to redress my leg. I may not have been quite as cooperative as everyone would have liked. It comes of having an aversion to pain. I was just worried that it might hurt, so every time they tried to put the bandage round I pulled my leg away. They got there in the end and the good news is that as long as I don’t pull it off I don’t have to go today. The bad news is that I do have to go again tomorrow!

Ari had a good birthday on the whole. Wilma was driving us all nuts as she had reached the point in her season when even the table leg looked like a good suitor. Ari had to be kept apart from her altogether and I just spent some of the day howling, as you do! Anyway, in the evening it got much better when we all had a little steak. He said that more than made up for any other frustration. Our Mistress is hoping that today will be the last day of Wilma’s season being at its prime time and that we might stand some chance of starting to settle down and get back to normal. She should know by now that one thing our house does not do is normal! I suppose though she might accept a lower degree of abnormal, just for a change.

Well I’m back off to put my paws up. I’ll let you know as soon as I get any more news. I’m hoping it will be soon.

  1. How lovely to hear from you Alfie. Thanks for the update. Keep being being brave at the vet and have a good rest. Sending lots more cuddles. xx

    • I wish I knew how to do brave. Shadow told me to just get on with it, but even she needs her paw held when things get really bad. My problem is I have a good imagination and can always imagine they could get really bad any time soon.
