Our Mistress has been making the most of the good weather and working in the garden sitting in a deckchair in the shade. Wilma and Aristotle have been keeping her company outside and love it. Mind you, Wilma has taken the opportunity to eat a few of the plants and some sticks, while Aristotle just watches in awe at her audacity. Wilma did learn that stealing cooking apples from the tree wasn’t entirely in her best interests. I would have liked to sit out there too, but I tend to bark rather a lot and don’t like Ari being around. I have now got a different radio working, but frankly I’m no keener on Classic FM than I was on Steve Wright. I was thinking I might like to try a reggae based station, but our Mistress said she couldn’t find one. I was only saying it to be awkward, but when she came back armed with some cds I had no choice but to pretend to be pleased.
All Wilma’s classmates passed their bronze exam without her. She was really pleased for them, but so disappointed that she has had to wait. She’s still working hard every day, even though it will now be another eight weeks until she can do the test. She got a sneak preview of the training piece for the next Club newsletter about perfecting her stay. Now she’s making our Mistress practice with her so she is completely rock solid. They’re doing very well. Our Mistress can walk round the garden, jump up and down and wave her arms and walk behind Wilma all while Wilma stays exactly where she’s been asked to. They haven’t done a full five minutes yet, but they’ll get to that pretty soon the way it’s going.
