Morning everyone, it’s Aristotle here. Alfie is taking the weekend off and won’t be back at work until Tuesday. That means you’ve got me for the weekend and then on Monday I’ve got to help Wilma to write her first post. To be honest, I could do without it. She has decided to idolise me and it’s getting slightly embarrassing. Where I go, she wants to go. What I do, she wants to do. She wants to play with me when she’s awake and sleep next to me when she goes to sleep. I’m just not used to it. I was a bit worried about the number of cuddles she was getting with our Mistress, but rather than being jealous I’ve turned that to my advantage and just get in on the act. We did have one small ‘issue’ yesterday. Wilma and I were larking around when she needed to go out to the toilet. Our Mistress had told me that I was to stay inside, but you know what it’s like when you’re in an excited frame of mind and I just wasn’t listening. Anyway, our
Mistress tried to close the back door quickly before I could go out. There was just one small problem. She’d forgotten to take her foot out with her, our Mistress that is, not Wilma. Wilma’s smarter than that. Anyway, she managed to trap her foot in the door with a large degree of force which resulted in a very bruised foot and a certain amount of limping and if truth be told a little bit of swearing too. I pushed my luck when I said she shouldn’t be swearing in front of Wilma as it would teach her bad behaviour!
Things will get even bouncier from next week as Shadow has recovered well from her operation and we think will get a clean bill of health on Monday. That’s going to mean she can join us running around and causing mayhem. Although Alfie has already said he’d like to stake claim to the room that Shadow has been using so he has somewhere comfortable and peaceful to sit. I really can’t think why he needs it!
