It was so nice yesterday not to have to ring the vet to say anything else had gone wrong. I’d like to thank you all for the get well wishes. I’m pleased to say I’ve stopped feeling sorry for myself and am back to feeling all right with the world. I did have to put up with an early walk yesterday as our Mistress explained it was going to be too hot later in the day so she wanted to get us all out early. Of course by the time 10am came round she, as well as all of us, was quite ready to sleep through the rest of the day. A siesta from 10am to 5pm would seem a little excessive even to me! The crow has been at it again so it was an early start to the day, so she may be able to justify something of a sleep. What was useful though is that she managed to catch him in action and see where he was perching. It is possible that if we add one more strip to the window ledge it might just knock him off his perch!
Shadow still has not started. Our Mistress is getting fed up with waiting and just wants to get on with it now. Sadly it means my human maternal aunt can’t go with her now which our Mistress had been really looking forward to.
I know you’re going to find this hard to believe, but our Mistress has agreed to go on another 17 mile cycle ride at the weekend. She does have a reason. When they went last time they stopped at the half way point for a coffee and cake and she had the most wonderful lemon curd cake and now she wants another piece. She could of course go in the car but she says she needs the 17 mile cycle to work off all the extra calories and from how she described it I’m guessing there were an awful lot of calories!

Gute Besserung lieber Alfie. Dass Shadow noch nicht läufig ist, scheint dieses Jahr normal zu sein. Beija – Flor war auch 8 Wochen später läufig geworden. Bei uns ist es sehr heiss und da wäre das Reisen sicher eine Kwal für deine Mistress und Shadow.
