The crow deterrent hasn’t been a total success then! They were back to tapping again yesterday which either means it hasn’t worked or they’ve found a way round it. Our Mistress is going to put one more spiked strip on another point they might be standing but if that has not effect she may have to progress to the more vicious looking spikes you can buy. Failing that she will be declaring war!
Mum’s season still hasn’t started. She really is going for the maximum inconvenience factor and our Mistress is singularly unimpressed. She’s had a hard enough week without Shadow adding to the difficulties, but that’s our mum for you! She had to have a day off walking yesterday too, our mum that is, not our Mistress. She was back to limping and so despite her asking to go out she was told she needed to put her paws up for the day. I said I’d go out on her behalf but apparently it doesn’t work that way.
Our Mistress is supposed to be away this weekend in Alfie’s little car, but because she thought she’d either be away with Shadow or back and looking after her they had to make the decision for our Master to take Andy instead. That means we’ve got a whole weekend of just our Mistress and we’re wondering how to make the most of it. I know she has in mind going and cheering herself up by eating a large slice of cake at Beningbrough Hall and going to the pub for doughnuts, but I’m sure she’d rather stay snuggled up on the couch with us if we asked her nicely enough. I voted for a duvet day and Alfie thought that would be good too. Shadow wanted something a bit more active and we’re still waiting for our Mistress’s verdict.
